The Philippine Women’s College of Davao BSHRM program competed with various other schools and universities from within Mindanao at the Tuna Festival Olympics simultaneously held at the KCC Convention Center and the Veranza Mall last August 31 – September 1, 2017.

The PWC of Davao BSHRM team was tipped as favorites to take it all, as they have been crowned overall champions in the last two iterations of this annual competition for HRM students.

As one of the best schools offering HRM in Davao, the Philippine Women’s College scored the first gold of the event, winning the Table Setting competition. The PWC outfit also won the Grand Flower Arrangement, making it 3 years in a row that they have won this particular contest. Other honors for the school include gold medals in Bartending and Tuna Cookie Display.

The students from the BSHRM program also took home a silver medal in Table Napkin Folding and a Bronze for Cake Decorating.

The PWC of Davao looked all but set to take home the grandslam this year but fell short by a few points. Still, it was a job well done as they managed to hold on to the First Runner Up slot ahead of local competitors in the form of Davao Doctor’s College BSHRM and Assumption College of Davao BSHRM.
