Four PWC Davao Tourism Management students explored aviation safety and cabin operations during the opening of AVS Aeroviation School of Mindanao’s cabin and flight simulators, gaining valuable industry experience for their future careers.

The Philippine Women’s College of Davao hosted the 10th Davao City Indigenous Peoples Youth Artists’ Assembly on October 14, 2026, bringing together youth delegates from five Indigenous communities. The event showcased artistic talents, cultural performances, and youth leadership while celebrating a decade of cultural preservation and community empowerment.

The PWC Basic Education Department officially kicked off MATHSCITECH 2026–2027 with exciting poster-making, Sudoku, and Damath competitions. Students showcased their creativity, logical thinking, and mathematical abilities as they prepared for more Math, Science, and Technology activities.

Philippine Women’s College of Davao (PWC) Tourism students showcased their exceptional skills and creativity at the Davao City Tourism Skills Olympics 2026, held on September 30 at SM City Davao. Competing against students from 13 local tourism schools, PWC proudly secured the Grand Winner title in Tour Guiding and four second-place finishes across various tourism competitions, highlighting the institution’s commitment to excellence in tourism education.

Philippine Women’s College of Davao (PWC) joined the celebration of Philippine Creative Industries Month 2026 with an insightful session titled “Human + Machine,” exploring the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and human creativity. Led by Emil L. Englis, MAFAD, the lecture encouraged Fine Arts and Design students to embrace AI as a powerful creative tool rather than a replacement for human talent, preparing them for new opportunities in the creative industry.

The Basic Education Department’s Student Formation Office, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), conducted an Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign for Grade 6 to 12 students aimed at strengthening awareness, prevention, and resilience against substance abuse.

The Philippine Women’s College of Davao, through the National Service Training Program (NSTP), conducted a Basic Life Support Seminar-Workshop at the RSM Events Center. The session equipped PWC college students with essential knowledge and skills in responding to medical emergencies, guided by facilitators Joy Grace S. Alfeche and fellow Red Cross volunteers.

Proud parents joined their children on stage as the Basic Education Department held its 1st Call to Honors, recognizing learners for their academic achievements this term. After the program, parents received their children’s report cards directly from their teachers.

Philippine Women’s College of Davao has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with OMNI Aviation for on-the-job training opportunities.
PWC President Emmanuel Q. Canivel, together with VP for Administration Aida T. Fedee, CPA, MBA, and VP for Academics Reynald A. Japay, EdD, LPT, and Maria Julieta R. Torres, CPA, MBA, Director for Linkages, Internalization and Placement Office, represented the college. Mikhail Josef N. Siy-Hian, MBA, Head of Marketing/Head of Cabin Crew Training, represented OMNI Aviation.
Under the partnership, PWC students will gain hands-on training and industry exposure in aviation operations, including cabin crew training that builds credentials toward international airline careers.

The PWC Emergency Response Team facilitated this orientation for all PWC personnel at the RSM Events Center, with PSSG Jefferson M. Gadia, Chief Investigator of Davao City Police Station 15, as the resource speaker.

A day filled with learning and fun made this year’s Nutrition Month Celebration memorable for our learners from preschool to junior high.
