Third year and graduating students of the Tertiary Education Department attended the Stress Management Seminar and Workshop on October 24, 2018 at the RSM Events Center.

Rica Mae Sumaliling, finalist of Wishcovery Open Mic Contest, opened the program with an intermission number.

The seminar was conducted by Didi Ananda Radhika Acarya, a yoga trainer from Ananda Marga organization. She discussed the sources of stress, its physiological effect, and stress response. Alongside another trainer from Ananda Marga, she further introduced to the students the basics of meditation and yoga postures.

Despite the time constraint, she encouraged the students to look into meditation and understand the science behind it.

The seminar and workshop was organized by the Office of Student Affairs as an initiative to ensure student wellness. Graduating students are susceptible to stress and mental health challenges thus the need for academic institutions to take measures to help them cope.
