Team Patriots compete in volleyball league
Team Patriots once again delivered with the volleyball teams’ performance at the Youth Invitational Volleyball League held last February to March 2019 at the Abreeza Ayalla Mall open court.
The YIVL was formed as an initiative of coaches from all over Davao City to address the concern of having limited volleyball tournaments in the region. It started with 4 participating high schools and has now expanded to include other levels and more schools even from outside the city.
This year marks the first time the city’s premier volleyball league opened the collegiate division in which 14 teams participated alongside the 36 high school teams. PWC finished 2nd runner-up for the Senior’s League, both for men and women’s division and also 2nd runner-up for the collegiate-men’s division.
The School Sports Development Office (SSDO) continues to seek ventures for its student-athletes to exhibit and further develop their capabilities. As the school year comes to an end and with another to begin, the SSDO looks forward to discovering and honing more talents and reach even greater heights in the sports community.
Tryouts for basketball and volleyball for all levels are ongoing. For inquiries, please contact the office at 09399394099.
