BSFT holds 2nd interschool quiz bowl
PWC, being one of the only two schools to offer BS Food Technology course in Davao, continues to promote the program by participating in and conducting engaging activities. Such efforts were evident in the FoodTech department’s hosting of its 2nd Food TechKNOWlogy Interschool Quiz Bowl last November 28, 2018 at the RSM Events Center.
Organized by the Society of Food Technology Students (SFTS), the competition consisted of two levels: Junior High and Senior High.
10 schools participated in the Junior High School level, namely: Davao City National High School, Davao Christian High School, Davao Chong Hua High School, Davao City Special National High School, Philippine Women’s College, Philippine Science High School, Mabini National High School, Nikkei Jin Kai International School, St. Peter’s College of Toril, and Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia.
The Senior High School level on the other hand witnessed the participation of Agro-Industrial Foundation College, Philippine Women’s College, Davao Chong Hua High School, Davao Christian High School, Davao City National High School, Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia, Mabini National High School, Philippine Science High School, Precious International School of Davao, and St. Peter’s College of Toril.
The contenders, composed of 3 participants for each school, battled through 15 questions in the easy round, 10 in the average round, and 5 in the difficult round.
In the end, the competition garnered the following results:
Level 1: Junior High School
Champion – Nikkei Jin Kai International School
1st Runner-Up – Davao City National High School
2nd Runner-Up – Philippine Science High School
Level 2: Senior High School
Champion – Precious International School
1st Runner-Up – Philippine Science High School
2nd Runner-Up – Davao Christian High School
