PWC competes in DACS College 2018

With the bar set by PWC BED early last September, student athletes from the college department brought pride to PWC sports during the Davao Association of Catholic Schools (DACS) College Sportsfest held last September 25-29, 2018 at different member campuses assigned for every event. Centering on the theme “Champions for Christ: Call to service and Holiness”, DACS develops sports as an avenue for service and sanctification for young people.

DACS College Sportsfest 2018 kicked off with a press conference on September 24, 2018 at SM Annex, Ecoland, Davao City. OSA personnel, sports coordinators, and tournament managers attended the event.

The grand opening and Eucharistic Celebration was held on September 25 at the San Pedro College-Basic Education campus in Ulas, Davao City and sports events then took place in the succeeding days.

Men – 4th Place

  • 5 on 5 – Bronze Medal

Volleyball

Men – Bronze Medal

Women – 4th Place

Badminton

Badminton Team – Quarterfinalist

Women Doubles – Bronze Medal

Chess

Kythryn Geverola – Top 4, CEAP Qualifier

Cultural Events

Vocal Duet – Silver

Danza en Cuatro – Bronze

Folk Dance – 4th Place

With the end of the college sportsfest, PWC successfully wrapped up its DACS experience for this year. The School Sports Development Office (SSDO) under Dr. Leah M. Cabang continues to foster PWC’s sports involvement, ensuring student athletes’ growth in talent and sportsmanship.
