In line with our mission to be Civic Conscious and Socially Aware of what is happening within our country, we Philwomenian pride ourselves in our desire and eagerness to help our fellow countrymen and contribute to the growth of our country at large. This has been attested already by the numerous partnerships we have had with local puroks in coordination with our National Service Training Program. But due to the unfortunate events that took place in Marawi City, the Office of Community Extension Services was called upon by a greater calling.

The initiative of the OCES of the Philippine Women’s College of Davao made possible a huge donation drive to aid our fellow Mindanaoan from Marawi.

The different units of the Philippine Women’s College of Davao, namely the Basic Education Program (BEd), Senior High School (SHS) and Tertiary Education Department (TED) joined forces to gather donations for the evacuees of the Marawi Siege.

From the concerted efforts of the PWC Community, 41 boxes of goods amounting to approximately P133, 257.00 were turned over to DSWD Storage Center on June 20, 2017 at Bago Oshiro, Mintal, Davao City.
