The Food Technology program of the Philippine Women’s College of Davao hosted one of its major events for this school year in the form of the Food TechKNOWlogy Quiz Bowl. The quiz bowl was participated by Junior High School and Senior High School Students from schools such as Talomo National High School, Tecarro College Foundation, Davao Wisdom Academy, Davao Christian High School, and of course PWC’s very own JHS and SHS contenders.

For the unacquainted, Food Technology is a rather new educational offering here in Davao as is evident with only 2 educational institutions offering the said course. Food Tech is a new field that future scientists can delve into which tackles food safety and food preservation – two vital aspects that should not be left ignored for long.

The Food Technology program of the PWC of Davao is looking forward to having more enrollees starting the 2018 academic school year with more and more people garnering interest in this respective field.

One major advantage there is in enrolling Food Technology at the Philippine Women’s College of Davao is the existence of the Food Processing and Innovation Center (FPIC) which was granted to the PWC in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The FPIC is used by our Food Technicians and by other schools from the region for their respective research and lectures.
